Another Sleepliness Night – No More!

I am sure many of you have had sleepless nights because of problems, children, stressful situations physical pain or just because you simply can’t! I have had many of those nights and have finally learned natural ways to help me sleep and not ingest harmful ingredients to get me to the rested place.
Exercise, Herbal Teas and Herbal Supplements – Homemade Recipes (of sorts)

Of course, the first way to get your body to relax and relieve tension is exercise. (Not surprised I said that, right???) Come home and do some sort of exercise that gets the blood flowing and releases the tension. A 30 minute brisk walk, moving the arms forward and back (feeling like you are ready to punch the next object that comes along) will give you a nice feeling of relief and calm afterwards. Make sure you wear proper walking shoes so you don’t trip while your mind is wandering or moving at full speed! Yes, I have fallen victim to this and still have the scars from 5 years ago. However, it is a great way to relax and encourage restfulness.

We all Want to Grow Old Gracefully....But How?

There are many proven facts out there that help a person to grow old gracefully. (Whatever “gracefully” real means!).  Of course exercise and eating right will help to keep you fit, healthy and energized but you also need to workout your brain to keep you mind active to fight off memory loss illnesses.  Its as easy as playing a board game, recall exercises or even jotting down  your day in a diary.  You can also encourage better memory taking a supplement such as Ginkgo.

Another way to improve your “brain health” can be done with changing up your exercise technique.  This will help with the weaker side of your brain that we all have.  Start your exercises or repetitions using the opposite foot, hand, arm, etc. than what you would normally use to start.  For instance, when I normally do walking lunges, I start with my right foot.  Change it up and start with the left foot.  You really have to put some mental effort into using the opposite limb!
